For a class I had to design a desk that floats against the wall, without any legs. I came up with a similar design , made of a steel slab with a 5mm thickness. I didn’t have the tools or materials te realise this yet so i tried to design a miniature version functioning as a nightstand, based on the same principle. For this nightstand, I used an aluminium sheet of 25 by 50 centimeters.
It can be hung against the wall with screws or clamped around an object.
A lot of different variatons can be made with the same principle of pleating the metal into this shape to clamp around something.
